{"id":33,"date":"2008-05-30T05:41:04","date_gmt":"2008-05-30T12:41:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/parishcouncil.pebmarsh.com\/?p=33"},"modified":"2008-05-30T05:46:58","modified_gmt":"2008-05-30T12:46:58","slug":"parish-news-update-friday-30-may-08","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/parishcouncil.pebmarsh.com\/?p=33","title":{"rendered":"Parish News Update Friday 30 May 08"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Annual Parish Meeting was held yesterday, Thursday 29th May in the Village Hall.\u00c2\u00a0 Annual Reports were submitted by all Parish councillors and read out.\u00c2\u00a0 Documents were made available to the public regarding updates on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00c2\u00a0<font size=\"2\" face=\"Arial\"><strong>Iceni Homes about\u00c2\u00a0 Affordable Housing progress<\/strong> and possible build start date of June\/July 08. Survey for presence of Great Crested newts or reptiles\u00c2\u00a0on the site is nearly over as these surveys had to undertaken in Spring. Meanwhile\u00c2\u00a0 Suffolk Housing society has now aquired\u00c2\u00a0 and owns the land\u00c2\u00a0 and a building contractor\u00c2\u00a0 ( Elliston Steady &amp; Hawes) has been appointed and will be meeting the Parish Councl shortly to discuss the build.\u00c2\u00a0 Suffolk Housing owns the land and will be the Landlord.\u00c2\u00a0 Eligible applicants are still subject to the Section 106 ( legal agreement) between Suffolk Housing Society and Braintree District Council which was signed as a condition of the planning permission and\u00c2\u00a0clearly states that these affordable houses are\u00c2\u00a0only for people who<strong> <\/strong>have a local connection\u00c2\u00a0 and have a housing need.<\/font><\/li>\n<li><font size=\"2\" face=\"Arial\">David Steel, <strong>Housing Enabling Officer at BDC<\/strong>. 01376 551414 ( ext 2138) outlined and clarified the application process.\u00c2\u00a0 Applicants have to initially contact BDC Housing assesment team on 01376 551414 for an application form to join the housing register and complete the application process. They should clearly state that that they are specifically applying and wanting to be considered for the affordable housing at Water Lane, Pebmarsh.\u00c2\u00a0 When this process is completed, the form and details will be held on file until the new homes are nearing completion.
