Social Housing Property In Pebmarsh Available

As you may be aware, each week social housing available for rent is advertised on the Gateway to Homechoice website www.gatewaytohomechoice.org.uk . Properties are advertised for one week from midnight on each Wednesday and applicants to our Housing Register will be able to log in to the website and ‘bid’ for properties that they are eligible for.

A 2 bed flat in Pearson Close will be advertised from midnight on Wednesday 7th August 2019. The property is set up so that it is advertised that only people with a connection to Pebmarsh and the neighbouring villages (as set out in the s106 agreement) can ‘bid’ for the property. Once the advertising cycle is completed, staff at Braintree District Council will work with Suffolk Housing Society to match applicants with the property on the basis of the strength of their local connection.

Too Good to Throw Away?

Too good to throw away?

Give your unwanted items a new home in your community.

Do you have items which are too good to throw away? It’s quick, easy and free to pass on your items and you may not even need to leave home.

In Essex we’re lucky to have many reuse organisations to choose from.

If you are having a clear out, there are lots of easy ways to pass items on to other people.

More and more of us are donating and purchasing items from reuse organisations meaning you are supporting local people and great local community causes while passing on your unwanted items. Many reuse organisations will even collect from your own home – no need to leave the house!

Local charity shops are always happy to accept good quality donations as this helps raise money for good causes.

Freegle is an online platform to help people give items for free in your local community. The types of items you can give and get on Freegle ranges from furniture, clothing and children’s toys to soil, rubble or even pre-loved garden ornaments. You can pass almost anything on using Freegle!

You can even sell good quality items through popular selling websites, or jumble sales and car boots. This is a great way to clear out the house and make a bit of money while doing so.

Passing on your old items is a hassle-free way of doing good in your community. Visit www.loveessex.org to find out more.

·       ‘B’ roads

·       The access route to the main settlement of a Parish of 50 or more households not               already on the precautionary salting route

·       Roads served by at least 4 public bus services per day for 5 days per week or more

·       Roads that link sites of national importance (e.g. airports, ports, fuel refineries etc.) to         the main salting network

·       We also include roads which allow ambulance and fire stations access to the main             salting network

Changes to Local Bus Services – from 10 April 2016

From 10th April 2016 there will be important changes to many of the routes, timetables and service numbers of bus services in Essex.

Passengers, particularly those using the bus to go to school or work, are strongly recommended to check for the revisions using the National Traveline Service, available at: www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk shortly before undertaking their journey, so that they are aware of any changes that have been made.

The majority of dedicated school contract services, which are not open for use by the general public will not be affected.
